Mi Elite Announces Changes for Summer 2019

by MacKenzie Lawler

Mi Elite is happy to enter is ninth year in summer lacrosse! This summer, we will be having four teams in each of our two locations (Okemos and Grand Rapids). The teams will be a 2025/2026 team, 2023/2024 team, and two high school teams composed of 2020-2022 players. All teams will have the opportunity to have 12 practices throughout the summer, but will still have the whole week and both weekends around the Fourth of July off (this is coming off a great amount of feedback from 2018). In order to do this, we have changed the formats of our teams and what tournaments they will be attending. The changes are outlined below.

  • Our youth teams (2025/2026) will attend Midwestern War Games in New Albany, OH on 6/22 - 6/23 and Indian Prairie Showdown in Naperville, IL on 7/26 - 7/28
  • Our middle school teams (2023/2024) will attend Meijer State Games in Allendale, MI on 6/15 - 6/16, Midwestern War Games in New Albany, OH on 6/22 - 6/23, and Indian Prairie Showdown in Naperville, IL on 7/26 - 7/28
  • Our high school teams (2020/2021/2022) will attend Meijer State Games in Allendale, MI on 6/15 - 6/16, IWLCA Midwest Cup in Naperville, IL on 7/13 - 7/14, and Indian Prairie Showdown in Naperville, IL on 7/26 - 7/28
  • For an additional cost, our high school players can tryout for our ELITE team to take one team to the IWLCA Capital Cup in North East, Maryland on 7/18 - 7/21. The team will be composed of players from our Grand Rapids and Okemos locations. This will provide our elite players with the opportunity to be seen in front of a different group of college coaches on the East coast.
